Marian Adcock, is a fine art botanical artist and animal portraitist. Her medium is wax and oil-based colored pencils on archival vellum. Marian is also owner of Stonebridge Gardens Fine Art, LLC, a business that supplies her art to galleries and shops that sell her artwork.

She is a member of the Great River Chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists and the American Society of Botanical Artists.

Selected as featured artist for the Jimmy Wilson Art Gallery, Minneapolis, where “Squirrel” #0013, in a smaller format than the original, was selected. It sold the day it was displayed.

St. Paul’s Grand Avenue Business Association chose my “Skye and Daisy Giraffe” #0091 painting (from Como Zoo baby animals collection) to represent the Association on posters that were displayed in all business windows along Grand Avenue for their sponsored Girls’ Day Out (for mothers and daughters) on North Grand Avenue. Posters were used throughout the summer for this every-Thursday event.

2018

“Fall Crabapple Branches” #0090 was juried into the 34th Annual Members’ Juried Exhibition 2018 at the Edina Art Center. The painting was selected the “Best of Show” award titled, “2018 Award of Excellence.”

2016

Staff of the Como Zoo in St. Paul requested that I paint baby zebra “Melee,” baby orangutan “Kemala,” and mother giraffe “Daisy” and baby, “Skye.” Cards with these images were donated for 100+ guests who attended a zoo donor appreciation dinner.

My collection of art on display at the juried Highland Art Fest, St. Paul received the festival’s top “Best of Show” award.

One of four featured artists juried into the botanical art exhibition at the Amsterdam Whitney International Fine Art Gallery, Chelsea, New York City, NY. The first time “Wind Blown Leaf” #0055 was exhibited, an International buyer purchased the original. I was accepted into the gallery’s Family of Artists at their elite museum-caliber Representational Program.

“Bright Fall Maple Leaf” #0036 was juried into “Impact Artists Gallery presents National Women’s’ Juried Exhibition,” Spring 2011, Buffalo, NY and was awarded “Second Prize” at the Exhibition.

Won third place in Ms. Minnesota Senior America Pageant. As my talent for the competition, I delivered a slide presentation on botanical art, featuring my work. Judges said it was a “first-ever” kind of talent presented in this nationwide Pageant competition.
