Marian began her career as an artist after retiring from her life long career in health care and humanitarian organization management in late 2005. She began her new career as a botanical artist after studying the ancient traditions used in botanical art and the techniques of using colored pencil as a medium when she took classes at the Minnesota School of Botanical Art in early 2006.

In addition to specializing in botanical subjects, she also finds great pleasure in drawing landscapes, animals, portraits or any subject that you may want reproduced in colored pencil. Please ask about doing commissioned work.
