Marian is primarily a botanical artist but is also a skilled animal portraitist and landscape artist. "It is the beauty of nature that inspires me to draw", reflects Marian.

In 2006 Marian began her career as an artist after retiring from her lifelong career as a hospital administrator, then CEO of an humanitarian organization. She is primarily a self-taught artist, but honed her skills in the use of wax & oil-based colored pencil as her medium while studying at the Minnesota School of Botanical Art, Minneapolis, MN.
